ABC’s of Conflict Management
Here are a few things to keep in mind when managing conflict between your team members. Whether you are encouraging your team members to resolve tension in the team on their own or if you are required to step in to assist, the ABC’s of Conflict Management will help you stay on track and come to a mutually agreeable solution.
- Actively listen to what others are saying
- Behave in a respectful manner
- Concentrate on what can be done to resolve the situation
- Discourage defensiveness
- Encourage different points of view and honest dialogue
- Focus on the problem, not the person or people
